Sandro Platzgummer: Austria’s Running Back Star Reaches New Heights – Balancing Football and Medicine
Sandro Platzgummer exemplifies the drive to excel in two worlds: sports and medicine. Born in Innsbruck in 1997, Platzgummer began his football journey in the youth ranks of Swarco Raiders Tirol, rapidly becoming one of Europe’s premier running backs. With accolades like “Youngstar of the Year” in the 2015 Austrian Football League and numerous titles with the Raiders, he laid a solid foundation for his future career.
In 2020, Platzgummer seized a unique opportunity as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, joining the New York Giants.
