Flag football and American football have a lot in common. The teams
try to get the ball into the other team's end zone and score more points
than their opponents. The difference with flag football is that there is
no physical contact and instead of tackling, a flag is pulled from the
belt of the player carrying the ball. This means no less action, but a
lower risk of injury and easier access to the sport for young people,
for example through school programs.

The NFL has also planned further games in Germany in the future. In 2026 and 2028, the NFL will hold one regular season game each year in Munich at the Allianz Arena. In 2027 and 2029, one game each year will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. This was confirmed by Alexander Steinforth, head of NFL Germany, on December 10, 2025. This means that the NFL will make a stop in Germany once a year until at least 2029. In 2026, nine NFL International Games could be played for the first time. Among other places, the NFL will make stops in Melbourne, London, and Munich in 2026. Additional venues are currently being planned.
