Flag football and American football have a lot in common. The teams
try to get the ball into the other team's end zone and score more points
than their opponents. The difference with flag football is that there is
no physical contact and instead of tackling, a flag is pulled from the
belt of the player carrying the ball. This means no less action, but a
lower risk of injury and easier access to the sport for young people,
for example through school programs.

The NFL has plans for additional games in Germany in the future. This was confirmed by NFL Germany CEO Alexander Steinforth during the NFL Munich Game 2024. In December of 2024 the NFL confirmed the Berlin Olympic Stadium as the host stadium for the 2025 game in Germany. The Indianapolis Colts will be the home team in Berlin. Beyond 2025, the NFL intends to hold one game per year on German soil. According to Commissioner Roger Goodell, the league has planned eight international games for 2025, set to take place in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and England.
